Who we are

What we collect

• Contact details you give us — name, email address, phone number, postcode.
• Enquiry details — test drive requests, finance and part-exchange enquiries, contact messages and complaints.
• Order and reservation details — vehicle purchased or reserved, and payment status.
• Account details, for customers who register — email, password (stored securely, hashed), and order/reservation history.
• Basic usage data — pages viewed and searches run, to keep the site working well.

What we don't store

We never see or store your full card number. Card payments are processed directly by our payment partner, PayPal — we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and a reference number.

How we use it

• To respond to enquiries and process reservations, orders and part-exchange valuations.
• To send order and reservation confirmations and updates.
• To operate your account, if you have one.
• To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including as a credit broker.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where necessary, with:

• PayPal, to process payments.
• UploadThing, to host vehicle photos and videos.
• Our email delivery provider, to send you confirmations and updates.
• Finance lenders, only where you've asked us to submit a finance application.

We never sell your personal data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, email support@carbuynow.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and account data for as long as you have an active account or an ongoing enquiry, and order/reservation records for 6 years afterwards to meet our accounting and consumer-credit obligations.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your basket and watchlist. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.
